Keeping Carpets Clean

Keeping your carpets clean is not the easiest task, but with a couple of easy pointers yours will keep on looking great!

1. You shouldn't walk barefoot on your carpets. The oils in your skin rub off on the carpet and attract dust and dirt. Just wear socks or slippers whenever possible!

2. Static electricity also attracts dirt to the carpet. Once a week, mix together one and a quarter cups of water with a quarter cup of fabric softener. Spray the carpet with that solution and you should have a lot less dirt!

3. An easy way to get your carpet cleaner is to sprinkle the entire area with cornstarch about half an hour before you vacuum. Then when you vacuum the carpet it will look bright and clean.

4. For various spots and stains on the carpet, try window cleaner. It will remove a lot of those problems quickly and easily. Just spray it on and blot it up.
