Combination Squares

A combination square has a ruled blade that slides back and forth, and an angled handle with a level in it.

1. You can use this tool to mark off or check for perfect ninety or forty five degree angles.

2. You can check for both level and plumb by aligning the tool across the top or against the side of your project.

3. Use the square as a marking gauge by tightening the clamp. Move the square down the wood and mark with your awl. You'll get perfect measurements

4. Another handy use for your combination square is to measure depth. Simply loosen the clamp and move the blade to the desired depth. Check that you're level and take the measurement.

5. One other option; take the handle right off and you can use it as a 12 inch ruler.
