Clean it-up "around the house"

Cleaning with T-S-P

If you thought t-s-p only stood for teaspoon, I have some news for you. T-s-p is a great cleanser that can really help you out!

1. T-s-p or a t-s-p alternative can be found at most hardware stores, but it's in other cleansers too. Check your powdered dishwasher detergent, t-s-p is probably an active ingredient.

2. Mix together a quarter cup of t-s-p and a couple of gallons of warm water. Make sure that you wear rubber gloves because the mix can irritate your skin.

3. This mixture works great for removing soot stains from your brick fireplace. A stiff bristled brush and this solution will help you scrub away the worst of those stains. When the fireplace is clean, be sure to rinse the entire area well.

4. It will also clean up grease stains on a tile table top. Scrub the spot well and it will deep clean the tiles without damaging them.

5. If you have a mildew problem on the outside of your house, scrub away all of the mildew, taking care not to chip off the paint. Then, rinse the whole area really well with a hose. When everything is clean, spray the area with some white vinegar to keep the mildew from coming back.
