Change Toilet Hardware

Changing the hardware on your toilet is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to change the look of your bathroom.

1. Be careful! If you drop a tool or over tighten a nut, you could crack the porcelain on your toilet.

2. Turn off the water supply to the toilet. Then flush the toilet to drain the tank.

3. To change the flush lever, remove the nut on the inside of the tank and carefully remove the old lever. Depending on the kind of toilet you have, you may have to remove the entire lift arm with the lever. Then simply slide the new one into place and tighten the nut.
